Colt foal born 4/30/07

Morab Colt

Beautiful Cremello Colt with DNA testing providing the following results: Cr/Cr; e/e and A/A genes.

If you like to fly and want a loving companion then this foal is for your. He is swift and agile. He enjoys running and performing sliding stops, bulldog type maneuvers. I hope you can see it from his picture. Endurance prospect or great sport prospect. He will be tall enough to be a jumper. He is flashy and would make an excellent dressage prospect or carriage horse. This guy also has a huge heart.

B has named him White Chocolate as he is SO sweet and everybody loves a little chocolate. My son has said he really loves this horse. He follows the kids around the pasture. Just SO loveable.

He is on his tip toes giving him a hug. A total attention hound.

Pictures on his birthday.

Check out his blue eyes.

From Pet DNA Services:

The results for White Chocolate are

e/e = two copies of the red factor, and no black gene; does not make black pigmented hair, and the base color is chestnut/sorrel.

A/A = two copies of the dominant Agouti “A”, which restricts the black pigmented hair to the points in EE or Ee horses (resulting in the bay color; however the horse may also be seal brown, because this test does not differentiate between bay and brown); an “A/A” horse is not expected to produce black (“a/a”) offspring; no visible color effect in an “e/e” (red-based) horse.

Cr/Cr = two copies of the Cream Dilution gene “Cr” (=double dilute); depending on the base color, and in the absence of additional color modifying genes, a Cr/Cr horse can be either a Cremello (if chestnut based); Perlino (if bay based); or Smoky Cream (if black based). Expected to pass the Cream gene to all offspring.

If he carries also the Champagne gene, then half of the foals are expected to receive it, which will make them Cream Gold Champagne, or Cream Amber Champagne. (There is no test for Champagne available yet.)

According to the International Champagne Horse Association :

The only way to determine if he carries the champagne gene is if he produces offspring caring the champagne gene.
